Meg Stalcup People


MEG STALCUP received her PhD from the program in Medical Anthropology at U.C. Berkeley and U.C. San Francisco in 2009. She obtained a B.S. in Biology from UC San Diego; and an M.S. in Biological Sciences from the Museu Nacional-Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, with a thesis on the ethnobotany of an urban market; and graduated from the Science Communication program at U.C. Santa Cruz. Her doctoral fieldwork was on the integration of law enforcement into intelligence in the US and at Interpol, in France, with a focus on the epistemology of intelligence gathering and analysis. Meg has received fellowships from the Brazilian National Research Council (CNPq), the IGCC Public Policy and Biological Threats Training Program, the UCHRI Seminar in Experimental Critical Theory, UC Santa Cruz, UC Berkeley, and the US National Science Foundation.
