Mary Murrell 
Mary Murrell is a Ph.d. candidate in anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley, where she is developing an anthropology of the contemporary book. She is currently “in the field” in San Francisco studying the mass digitization of books. Before coming to Berkeley, Mary was a senior editor at Princeton University Press. She is a National Science Foundation graduate research fellow (2006-2009) and is on the editorial board of Anthropology Now.
