Nicolas Langlitz

NICOLAS LANGLITZ is a medical anthropologist and historian of science. He wrote a book on the clinical practice of the French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan (Die Zeit der Psychoanalyse, Frankfurt/M.: Suhrkamp, 2005). Currently, he is preparing a second book on the revival of hallucinogen research since the “Decade of the Brain.“ He has also begun to work on a new project on the interdisciplinary exchange between neuroscientists and philosophers of mind (focusing on the case of dream research). He serves as assistant professor of anthropology at the New School for Social Research in New York.
