Time Change: Pedagogy Cluster Meeting

by Karpiak

Due to a scheduling problem, the Pedagogy cluster’s first meeting will have to be put back a week–to Wednesday, February 7th. Same Bat time (4:20pm), same Bat channel (311 Kroeber), same Bat agenda… (see the old post.)

Just to be clear about the syllabus, it’s not suppossed to be an “anthropology of the contemporary” class–it’s for a first year undergrad general intro to anthro, but the idea is that it has to be made with more of the “contemporary” in mind, so that after taking it (and anthro 114, the history of anthro thought class)an undergrad would be able to slip right in to paul’s upper-level undergrad class on “the anthro of the contemporary”.

also, like i said, it is only a first draft–still needs a lot of work–but we’re hoping it could get the discussion going about what it might mean to teach it at that level.
